All potential adopters must correctly answer ALL the basic knowledge questions on the quiz on the application below. It is based off the required care reading passage here on our website. Proof of proper enclosure must be provided as well. NEW hermit crab owners without experience need to do a weekly checkup with us for three weeks to ensure commitment. :) The hermit crabs will be given to their adopters in a public location due to the rescue being ran out of a private residence.
Curly is our largest crab and one of our longest residents. He is very active at all times of the day and enjoys climbing up sticks and digging.
Sydney loves to explore all items in the tank and is constantly rearranging everything. Sydney is also one of our longest residents!
Baby is one of our newest residents. He is our smallest crab at less than two inches in length! He is very active and loves to interact with the other crabs. (even though they’re twice his size!)
Brownie is a very active and skittish crab. He is also one of our newest residents! He enjoys eating and digging.
Violet definitely has a lot of personality! She has started some disagreements with other crabs in the past but has seemed to calm down and get along with everyone now that she is used to her environment. She came to the rescue on the 4th of July. She is extremely dark purple and likes to dig.
Pinky came to us in a pink shell with a unicorn on it and has since changed into a gorgeous ramshorn shell. She was rescued from the St. Thomas More fun days this summer. She is very shy and hides most of the time but has amazing orange colors.
